Would you like to represent JBM at the Prix Paris-Montréal in early September in a spirited eloquence contest?
We are pleased to announce the launch of the PPM 2025 Elimination Round! This eloquence contest, open exclusively to JBM members, is a unique opportunity to demonstrate your oratory talents and measure yourself against other experienced speakers from Quebec and Europe.
This year's topics are
- Are mismatched socks an act of resistance?
- Should heartbreak be abolished?
The competition is open to all JBM members. Contestants must submit a three (3)-minute video-recorded argument on one of the above topics. Subjects are interpreted freely and extensively by the candidates. The video must be in French. This video will be used for selection purposes only.
Videos must be sent by WeTransfer by e-mail to tkupfer@ajbm.qc.ca no later than 5pm on Thursday August 7.
Please include the following information in the e-mail:
- Your full name
- Selected subject
- Year sworn in
The winner of the Ronde éliminatoire will have the exceptional opportunity to represent the JBM and Montreal in general at the Prix Paris-Montréal on September 3, against fellow competitors from Europe and elsewhere.
A mentor will be on hand to help you prepare for the September 4 event, should your application be accepted.
