May 23, 2025 - The Young Bar of Montreal (JBM) today announced the departure of its Executive Director, Me Élizabeth Ménard-Laberge, and the appointment of Me Karine Delvolvé as her successor.
Élizabeth Ménard-Laberge has played a decisive role in the strategic development of the JBM, contributing to the modernization of the organization's governance and operations. During her years at the helm of the JBM's permanent office, she had the opportunity to participate in various strategic committees in the legal community, initiate a major review of the JBM's activities, and work on the development of the new 2025-2029 strategic plan, all while exercising a benevolent and forward-looking leadership.
The Board of Directors would like to warmly thank Ms. Élizabeth Ménard-Laberge for her unwavering passion, commitment and significant contribution to the JBM. She will step down on May 23, at the end of the 2024-2025 term.
The JBM is delighted to announce the appointment of Karine Delvolvé as its successor, effective May 26, 2025. A former member of the Brussels and Paris Bars, Karine Delvolvé is a recognized professional in the academic world, having piloted major projects in professional development for the student community, as well as in the area of access to justice. She has extensive experience of the NPO world, which has led her to build strategic alliances and a network of partners to defend the interests of French-speaking immigrants with various public organizations and institutions. Her innovative and positive leadership makes her the ideal person to assume the role of Executive Director of the JBM.
We are convinced that Karine Delvolvé will continue the work she has begun with passion and skill, for the benefit of our members and the JBM mission.
The Board of Directors thanks all those who contributed to this transition process, and wishes Ms. Élizabeth Ménard-Laberge every success in her future endeavours, while warmly welcoming Ms. Karine Delvolvé to her new role.
