JBM announces the departure of Stéphanie Beaulieu, General Manager

The Young Bar of Montreal (JBM) is saddened to announce the imminent departure of its General Manager for the past five years, Stéphanie Beaulieu.

The JBM would like to acknowledge Ms. Beaulieu's exceptional work and dedication to the interests of the JBM and its members. As General Manager,Ms. Beaulieu has overseen all JBM activities, ensured the organization's financial stability and rallied the JBM family, which includes the general management team, the 15 members of the Board of Directors, over 300 volunteers and numerous partners and collaborators.

Mr. Beaulieu, who has held this position since 2016, has played a fundamental role in the JBM's many recent landmark achievements. Thanks to his innovative vision, leadership and rigor, the JBM has led numerous public advocacy efforts in connection with the Report on the Employment Situation of Young Lawyers in Quebec and the JBM Report on Quebec's Legal Aid System. It was under his leadership that the first Guide vers l'aide juridique au Québec was published, now a must-have tool for lawyers in private practice accepting legal aid mandates. Record participation rates in JBM's flagship events have been achieved over the past five years, as well as the integration of technology and the first intelligent community experiments into JBM's activities. She has also ensured the continuity of the JBM's Clinique juridique téléphonique by securing a partnership that enables it to be held twice a year. Throughout her mandate,Ms. Beaulieu has been an ally for many causes at the heart of JBM members' interests, such as mental health, ethnocultural diversity and inclusion. diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, the transformation of justice and the prevention of sexual harassment and violence in the practice of law.

Ms. Beaulieu also contributed to the process of updating the JBM's brand image, first by developing its new visual identity, then by overhauling all its communications, and finally by drawing up a 2021-2024 Strategic Plan. The general management team was also reorganized, with a redeployment of responsibilities. The COVID-19 pandemic did not stop her, andMe Be aulieu enabled the JBM to cross new frontiers.
