Volunteer of the Year 2020-2021
The Young Bar of Montreal (JBM) would like to highlight the appointment of Me Niva Beaudoin, CNESST, as JBM Volunteer of the Year 2020-2021.
Ms. Beaudoin is an administrative reviewer with the CNESST. Actively involved in five committees, Ms. Beaudoin has made an outstanding contribution to the JBM for over six years. Through her positivism, preparation, creativity, presence and constant commitment, she has greatly distinguished herself over the years, and especially in this particular year.
Ms. Beaudoin is currently involved in the Member Relations (CRM), Convention and Gala, Marketing, Interprofessional and Professional Development (CDIP) and Education Committees. Here's an overview of her active contribution to the various committees:
- A motivated and motivating member of the CRM,Ms. Beaudoin oversaw the drafting of the new Declaration of Principles on Work-Life Balance, while participating in the sub-committee working on the survey on the employment situation of young lawyers in Quebec.
- On the Convention and Gala Committee, she stands out for her constant presence at meetings and her upstream preparation. She shines with creativity and support, and is Vice-Chair of the committee's eco-responsible initiatives for a second year running.
- Ms Beaudoin's many years of experience have not gone unnoticed by the Training Committee. She masters the demands of continuing education, and is constantly coming up with new ideas for topics and speakers.
- Having joined the Marketing Committee's Environment sub-committee this year,Ms. Beaudoin played an active role in drafting the JBM Declaration on Eco-Responsibility and is a real asset to the implementation of this project.
- Finally,Ms. Beaudoin also stands out for her creativity and ideas. She is actively involved in the CDIP's various projects. Combined with her thoroughness and interest in the committee, her contribution is felt day after day.
The JBM is proud to count her among its ranks, and grateful for her many significant contributions.
In recognition ofMs. Beaudoin's sincere and unwavering commitment to the JBM, it was only natural to award her the title of Volunteer of the Year. His nomination was announced at the JBM's virtual Annual General Meeting on May 27. An honorary trophy will be presented to him shortly.
The members of the Board of Directors and the JBM general management team thank her for her impressive dedication and invaluable generosity!
