Lieutenant-Governor's Medal for exceptional merit awarded to JBM

The Young Bar of Montreal (JBM) is honoured to have been awarded the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec Medal for Exceptional Merit by the Honourable J. Michel Doyon, Q.C., B.A., LL.L., Ph. D., Ad. E. Indeed, the JBM received this prestigious recognition yesterday during a ceremony at the Barreau de Montréal.

The Lieutenant Governor's Medal recognizes the outstanding achievements of an individual or organization. In the case of the JBM, more than 122 years of volunteer commitment and positive influence within the Quebec legal community are recognized by this award. Despite its age, the JBM remains accessible, dynamic and committed to its dual mission of defending and promoting the interests of its members, and improving the quality of life of its members.t of its members and improving access to justice by providing legal information and consultation services on a pro bono basis.

This honorary distinction testifies to the importance of the JBM's contribution through its concrete actions in the field of access to justice. Every year, thousands of citizens are supported by the JBM's numerous pro bono services, offered by over a hundred volunteer lawyers, aimed at helping both individuals and businesses.

"The Young Bar of Montreal is a leading association in the world of law. The dynamism of its members makes it a key player in the ongoing pursuit of collective well-being. As a solid foundation for the profession at local, national and international levels, its members exert a positive influence on their communities and are leaders in our society. Thanks to the pro bono legal services it offers, the Young Bar of Montreal aspires to greater accessibility to justice, proving once again the benevolence and social commitment of its members. The many community and charitable activities organized by the Young Bar of Montreal are proof of this. It therefore gives me great pleasure today to present her with the Lieutenant-Governor's Medal for Exceptional Merit, in recognition of her equally exceptional character," declared the Honourable J. Michel Doyon.

"Mr. Lieutenant-Governor, your decision to award the Medal for Exceptional Merit to the Young Bar of Montreal is an honor that touches us deeply, and is a testament to the confidence you have in young people.the confidence you have in young people," said JBM President Mathieu Jacques yesterday at the ceremony. "The JBM's secret recipe for success is the combination of three forces: our Board of Directors, our volunteers and our management team, who together form the JBM family. "

Receiving this award is confirmation that the JBM is moving in the right direction, and encourages its members to continue to act boldly.
